Happy Anniversary!

 

We can hardly believe that ten years has passed since we opened the shop! We have had so many great times, and met so many wonderful people  we thought we should have a celebration!

 

So, from November 1st through the 15th, we are having a huge sale! The entire store, (with the exception of florals) will be 20% off!

 

We will be putting out new items all the time, this is not all old inventory! 

 

If there is that special piece you have been waiting to purchase, now is the time to come and look, for the sale will only last 2 weeks!

 

Come back as many times as you like, 

 

We will keep restocking and restocking!

We Take Halloween Seriously......

Around here, we take Halloween seriously! We aren't just going to let this holiday pass us by, we love to decorate for it, have fun with it and let it all loose. We have been busy sprucing up the front of the shop for the upcoming holidays, adding pumpkins and other beautiful seasonal decor.

Halloween is a holiday that you really DON'T have to take seriously. Be serious about having fun with it. Like we have placing fake spiders and rats in strategic places throughout the shop.

You will also find appendages laying around, usually strewn with candy corn or gourds...

And frightening dollies waiting for small children to wander upon them.

 

We have been putting our artistic side to good use lately and making all sorts of fun items like these pumpkins made out of vintage embroidered tea towels.

 

We have also put together some assemblages made out of clock casings that are an ode to Halloween. This one features a knife and rats with old ephemera giving it a very haunting feeling.

This one is a little less macabre, but still has a ghoulish delight to it!

As always, the back porch is a seasonal homage. The table is set for a cup of tea on those indian summer days we are having.

Yet there are reminders everywhere that Halloween is around the corner!

 

This ghostly chair isn't quite finished. The head has eye balls that are yet to be attached. Not sure which way is scarier! With or without eyeballs!

We have some great vintage finds that will round out the season, great for use with Halloween, fall or even Thanksgiving.

Everywhere you turn in the shop there are spooky things infused into the decor. We have many great finds for you to makeover your own home with an eerie yet somehow welcoming feeling.

Even simple items like a vintage typewriter can be used to decorate with!

Or what about vintage baby booties....don't they remind you of witch's boots?

Perhaps this young lady was a witch by night....seemingly harmless woman by day!

So let us lend you a "hand" this season in decorating for a very serious holiday!

For the Love of Chandeliers

 

Around here, it's not just furniture we like to refinish. We have a real love for chandeliers, and often find ourselves rescuing them.

We often times repaint them, update the wiring and wash every crystal by hand.

 

But why stop there? We also like to add vintage jewelery baubles, vintage glass beads in fun colors like apple green and pink to make the chandelier sparkle and stand out in a room even more.  We always get people commenting on a big statement piece like these chandeliers!

 

Tiffany took this picture and edited it to have a vintage feel.  We love how the chandelier looks in it!  

 

 

You can really see on this chandelier the beautiful glass beads in frivolous colors and how it adds a little something extra to an already pretty chandelier.

 

This one's soft pink beads would look great in a romantic bedroom.

 

But why stop there? This is a chandelier we have been putting together as of late. Vintage salt and pepper shakers hang from the bobeches.

 

They almost look like they are the crystals!

 

This would be a fun and whimsical addition to a dining room or kitchen. A sure conversation starter! Come on in and see some of the other whimsical chandeliers we have been working on and choose you favorite to take home!
